Gannochies

The Belt Gannochy is one of our best sellers, it is meant for single gun use. It holds 15 cartridges which together with two in the gun means you have 17 continuous shots at flush.

It is meant to be refilled from the pocket during lulls; this Gannochy is designed to accept cartridges in three rows with the cartridges in the outer rows being 1/2 inch higher that the middle row. This allows the hand to take the cartridges without looking down.

When reloading, the open breech is only a few inches from the Gannochy and very rapid reloading is achieved.

The belt is made in various sizes with plenty of holes to allow for different layers of clothing from shirtsleeves to a tweed shooting jacket.

The 50 size Gannochy is really made for Grouse or Partridge shooting as it is more convenient to carry some distance, but it can also be used by a single gun as a cartridge dispencer. Also useful in a grouse butt when shooting single gun.

The Leather comes in two colours Light Tan or Havana Brown and you have a choice of Guardsmans straps.

Loaders Gannochy x 100

The 100 size Gannochy is for heavy double gun shooting; it turns an average (or worse) loader into a dextrous expert.

Why, because he starts with 100 cartridges all facing the right way with just sufficient room between them to take two at a time and load the empty gun whose open breech is six inches away from the Gannochy, which is sitting comfortably on the left thigh.

So long as the loader does not watch the birds his Gentleman will never have to wait for a gun.
